Faculty Friday Spotlight: Morgan Swartz | Middle & Upper School Art How many years have you been in education? 2. What’s your favorite class or project to teach? I enjoy teaching the 8th grade classes quite a bit. Being able to express yourself is such a crucial part of that age, and it is very exciting to be the one giving them the tools to make that happen. We have a lot of fun learning new skills both technically and conceptually. What’s the best book you’ve read this year? Parable of the Sower, Octavia Butler What’s your guilty pleasure? Period Dramas! I am a sucker for the costumes and culture. On any night I have free I probably have Kiera Knightly and/or Matthew MacFadyen on my screen. What’s a fun fact about you? I have a fraternal twin sister! What’s a hobby you enjoy outside of school? I love music! I spend a lot of time writing and learning my instruments. What do you love most about Selwyn? The commitment to excel by all students and teachers. We all trust each other to be the best we can be and to be lifelong learners. What tip or advice would you give to students? Write EVERYTHING (tasks, homework, events, and ideas) down! Trust me, you won’t regret the habit. |
