Faculty Friday Spotlight: Melissa Murphey | Librarian & Technology: The “Techbrarian” How many years have you been in education? 22. What’s your favorite class or project to teach? Makerspace and Tinkering. What’s the best book you’ve read this year? The Inheritance Games, Jennifer Lynn Barnes What’s your guilty pleasure? Rewatching 2000s NBC comedies and playing Candy Crush. What’s a fun fact about you? I am very good at playing Boggle. What’s a hobby you enjoy outside of school? Crafting and art-making. What do you love most about Selwyn? How small it is! I love that we are a growing as a school, but staying small enough that it feels like a close-knit community. I love being able to see students grow each year. Teaching someone in 5th grade and getting to see them graduate and turn into amazing young adults is priceless. What tip or advice would you give to students? Do the hard work now, so it is not so hard in the future. |
