WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE REGULAR PORTION AND THE CHILD-SIZED OR SMALLER PORTION?

The smaller, child-sized portion has a bit less of the main protein or main ingredient (e.g. less chicken) than the regular sized. We understand that a number of people and smaller children eat less, and therefore waste much of the food in the larger portions. This will help reduce waste and lower cost for those opting for smaller sizes.

HOW DO I ORDER GLUTEN-FREE OR INDICATE THAT I HAVE ALLERGIES?

When you select an item to order and the options for that item, there is a field labeled “Special Requests” into which you need to indicate:

REQUIRED EVERY ORDER

The date you want to order
Name of the person eating the lunch (student or faculty) and grade (K, 1, 2, etc)

OPTIONAL AS NEEDED

Any food allergies or any requests for gluten-free options

WHAT ARE DAILY STAPLE MENU ITEMS?

These are entrees you can order any day of the week, a recurring menu that is always available to you. It currently has nine different options.
Make sure you indicate the day for each daily staple in the “Special Requests” field.

WHAT IS THE WEEKLY MENU?

The “weekly menu” are the entrees that change every day, usually 2 options unique to each day.

WHY IS SALES TAX BEING CHARGED? ISN’T SELWYN TAX EXEMPT?

You are ordering direct from PK Kitchen, a private business, and as such, sales tax needs to be paid.

THE WEBSITE SAID I NEEDED TO SPECIFY DELIVERY INFORMATION. WHY?

Please ignore this request. Just click to the next page. PK Kitchen knows that all orders are delivered to Selwyn School in time for the lunch hours on our calendar.
