Barry Hanstein: 2015-2016 Faculty Reflections

June 5th, 2016

“Is the glass half empty, or half full?” is a question often thought to identify optimists and pessimists.  BUT if you look down into the glass from above the circle is full.  Or maybe the glass is just too big or too small, or maybe half is exactly the right amount?  Do not overlook any possibilities in your quest to discover yourself and what you can do.

Eric Hoffe wrote, “In times of change learners inherit the earth…while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists”.  The future is a grand adventure.  You will have successes and will make mistakes.  Learn from the mistakes and try not to make them again.  Take advantages of opportunities that present themselves, and be lifelong learners.

You are prepared and will continue to grow and learn and make a difference.  You have done that here.  Let us hear from you now and again.  It has been an honor being part of your lives.  And in the words of many, many alums “Go to Class!”
